It’s officially 2010 and I’m probably passed out drunk. I can’t tell you how my night was because, most likely, I’m recovering, or I’m still partying (whoever invented scheduling for blogs was a genius). Although it feels like the past year flew by and nothing really changed, it has in some really big ways. It’s actually been kind of a life changing year for me. I somehow managed to go from being jobless and living with my parents, to having a really good job (401k grown up status!), being back in school, and living on my own.
Although I say this every year, the New Year brings a new start. When the clock strikes midnight and the ball drops, anything is possible. Judging from the past year, change can happen in an instant. Although I make resolutions every year and never keep them, I feel like this year I’ll be able to. Since bigger goals are harder to keep, I think this year I’ll vow to do something more attainable. I think I’ll resolve to start screen printing again, giant vultures on everything I own.
When I asked she will dress herself about her resolution, I got a similar, but much more amazing answer. She resolves to “learn how to knit and crochet. The ultimate goal is to be able to make an octopus hat (see below). However, I’d be contented to just be able to make something wearable. I would be overjoyed to craft a pair of socks.”

Walk The Sand had a pretty hilarious and amazing resolution. She resolves to “stop sending my boyfriend e-mails of animals dressed up in costumes from the internet. I think he’s starting to get scared…” (Personally, I love receiving pictures of animals in costume! Send them to Liz@odetoawe.com)
Here are some more resolutions that I think we can all get behind:
To be brave – Melissa
Eat dinner at the table more often- Tori
Attend a blind-folded eating event – Elina
Drink better alcohol- anonymous
Be around the people I love, eat cupcakes, and find more fun stores-Gotham Hipster
To learn to do a few up-dos, so that I don’t always wear my hair down-Sugar and Spice
Get a dove and olive branch tattoo- anonymous
Sun myself more on my rock- My turtle
What are yours?
